Incorrect symbol: In the supplement to the 19 September 2011 issue of the Journal, “Assessment and management of polycystic ovary syndrome: summary of an evidence-based guideline” (Med J Aust 2011; 195: S65-S112), there was an error in Algorithm 5. Under Pharmacological management, the third evidence-based recommendation contained a ≥ symbol instead of a ≤ symbol. The recommendation should read:
Metformin could be used alone to improve ovulation rate and pregnancy rate in women with PCOS who are anovulatory, have a BMI ≤ 30 kg/m2 and are infertile with no other infertility factors.
