Professor Toby Richards has recently moved from UCL after nine years to take up the Lawrence-Brown Professor of Vascular Surgery at the University of Western Australia. Promoted to Professor at UCL in 2015, he was director of the Surgical Trials Units with a particular interest in collaborative networks to promote audit and research. He is the CI for PREVENTT and ITACS; double blind multicentre RCT’s on the use of iron therapy to treat anaemia in Surgery.
