MJA Impact Factor
MJA Impact Factor

MJA Impact Factor — The impact factor for the Medical Journal of Australia has leapt from 2.537 (2007) to 3.320 (2008), in figures released in June this year. The impact factor is a measure of the frequency with which journal articles are cited in a particular year and is an indication of the success of a journal. Many authors consider a journal’s impact factor when selecting journals for the publication of their research. The increased impact factor affirms the Journal’s national and international standing and reflects the calibre of contributions to the Journal, our peer reviewers and excellent editorial staff. The MJA is ranked in the top 15% of general medical journals worldwide. In this vein, the MJA has been elected to the executive of the World Association of Medical Editors.
