Depot medications for schizophrenia available in Australia, November 1997

Fluphenazine decanoate12.5-100 mg2-4 weekly
Haloperidol decanoate50-300 mg4-6 weekly
Flupenthixol decanoate20-100 mg2-4 weekly
Zuclopenthixol decanoate100-400 mg2-4 weekly
These doses are adjusted according to the patient's symptoms and presentation. Some patients, after specialist review, may require even higher doses.
