  1. Age
  2. Time (to nearest hour)
  3. Address for recall at end of test: "42 West Street" This must be repeated by the patient to ensure that it has been heard properly.
  4. Year
  5. Name of the hospital or present location
  6. Recognition of two people (e.g., doctor, nurse)
  7. Date of birth
  8. Year of First World War
  9. Name of the Prime Minister
  10. Count backwards from 20 to 1
Allocate 1 point for each correct response. A score of 7 or less in an older person is suggestive of mental impairment
