Can we reduce disease burden from osteoarthritis?

An article in the recent Bone and Joint Disorders Supplement presented a measure for translating trial outcomes into a quality-of-life (utility) scale and comparing the cost effectiveness of current interventions. Both the measure and the cost-effectiveness analysis raised questions. (Med J Aust 2004; 180 (5 Suppl): S11-S17)
