To the Editor: I am happy to inform Whiteman and colleagues1 that, should they wish to undertake a project in Australian general practices, the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) has one ethics committee which covers the whole of Australia. As a researcher, I have participated in many multicentre trials under the aegis of this committee over the past 8 years.
Details of the RACGP national ethics committee may be found at <http://www.racgp.org.au/document.asp?id=523>.
