In the section on “Nocturnal oxygen therapy”, the hypoxaemia selection criterion for the study by Chaouat et al (reference 19) on page 623 (column 1) should read “Pao2 56–69 mmHg (7.4–9.2 kPa)” rather than “Pao2 56–59 mmHg (7.4–7.8 kPa)”.
